Lunch Money- If your child has a balance owed to the lunch room, please make sure the balance is payed off before exams.

Christmas Eve Mass- Students in PreK-3rd grades are invited to dress as angels or shepherds and students in 4th -8th grades may participate in the choir for the Christmas Eve Vigil Mass at St. Elizabeth Church. Choir participation will require 2-3 afterschool practices.  Please turn in participation forms by Friday, December 2.  Details will be forthcoming.

Quiz Bowl- The next Morgan City competition is on Tuesday, November 29 at 12:15pm.  Students will eat lunch at school for 10:45 am and will be allowed to leave at 11:00am.  Students are not required to return to school after the competition.

Boy’s Basketball Practice- 5th & 6th Grade- Wednesday, November 30- 6:00-7:00: 8th Grade-Thursday, December 1- 2:00-4:30; 7th Grade- Tuesday, November 29-6:00-7:30 and Thursday, December 1-6:00-7:30.

Quiz Bowl Game Day- Friday, December 2 at 12:30.  Everyone is invited to attend.

LSU Football Pool Fundraiser- Pools are being send home on Tuesdays.  Please be sure to send back the pool on time to give all families equal time to sell squares.  Please contact the school if you are interested in purchasing a square.  We have $10.00 and $20.00 squares available.

Breakfast with Santa- Saturday, December 3.  8:00am-12:00pm  Please invite relatives and friends to join us for a fun filled morning!

Scrip orders- will be due on Monday, December 5  and Monday, December12. Regular scrip will resume after the Christmas Holidays.

Diocesan Quiz Bowl Tryouts- Tuesday, December 6.

Student of the Year- Finalists for Student of the Year are required to stay after school on Wednesday, December 7th to complete their writing assignment. Students must be picked up from school by 3 p.m. in the computer lab. The writing assignment should only take 30 minutes.The results from the writing assignment will determine the fifth and eighth grade Students of the Year.

Spirit Dress Down Day- Wednesday, December 7.  Students may wear a school spirit shirt or uniform shirt and jeans or uniform shorts and uniform socks and shoes.  Jeans must be worn at the waist and may not have holes.  Please see the SES student handbook for complete dress down day guidelines.

Christmas Memorials- December 8.  Everyone is invited to mass at 7:35am.  To send a memorial gift, please contact the school and a form will be sent home to you.

Superintendent’s Visit- Dr. Melanie Verges will be visiting SES on Friday, December 9.

Superbowl Pools – will begin being sent home on December 12.

Spelling Bee Lists Distributed- December 12.  Spelling bee is January 25.

Kindergarten Parent Breakfast- Wednesday, December 14 at 7am.  Parents are invited to join us for morning prayer in the Prayer Garden after breakfast.

2nd Nine Weeks Exams- December 14 – Science & Reading, 15 – Math & Religion,16 – Social Studies & English.

Body Walk- December 16.  Volunteers will be needed.  More information will be provided.

Christmas Activities- December 20-Nativity, Christmas Program, Class Christmas Parties.  If anyone has a family member born after September who is interested in participating as Baby Jesus for the Christmas Program, please contact the office by Friday, December 2.

Parents Provide Transportation- Wednesday, January 4.  There will be no bus transportaion.  Aftercare will be provided.

Beta Cake Sale – A Big Thank You to all BETA members, parents, sponsors, and community members  who helped make the cake sale a great success this weekend after masses at St. Elizabeth and St. Jules.   We raised $1980.00 for the Andrew A.J Frey Memorial Garden. 

Pack – a – Sack -  Thanks to everyone who packed their sacks with non-perishable food items. We collected  approximately 3794 lbs. of food which has been donated to the St. Elizabeth Food Pantry.

World’s Finest Chocolate Candy Sale – Thanks to everyone for their support.    The winners are 1st place -John Paul Brown , 2nd Place- Emma, Chloe and Chandler Prejean, Tie for 3rd Place-Cody & Sadie Jacobs and Nyoshi Smith.

Student of the Year Interviews- 5th grade interviews will take place on Wednesday, November 16 after school and 8th grade interviews will take place on Thursday, November 17 after school.  Students will be allowed to call home when finished with their interviews.

Grandparents Day- November 18.  Grandparents can meet their grandchildren in church for 8am mass.  Everyone is invited to the new gym for a reception following mass.  Students will report back to school after the reception for a regular day of classes.   

Thanksgiving Holidays- No school from November 21-25.  Classes resume on Monday, November 28.

E.J. and Marjory Ourso Memorial Foundation Grant Received – St. Elizabeth School is the recipient of a $25,000 grant from the foundation for the purchase of a 30 station mobile laptop computer lab!!! Special thanks to Ms. Grace Landry who submitted the proposal.

Mark Your Calendar…Adult Lip Sync – Friday, February 10 at 7pm.  Start getting your ideas together.

50th Anniversary Mass of the Diocese of Baton Rouge – Thank you to our Sodality Officers, Connor Ourso, Hayes Rousseau, Mylie Blanchard, Danielle Giroir, and Trey Besson who represented St. Elizabeth School at the Diocesan Mass on Sunday.

SES Beta Pack-A-Sack- Please remember to fill your family’s paper sack with non-perishable food items and send it back to school by November  11.  These items will be donated to the St. Elizabeth Food Pantry.  These goods will be distributed to needy families throughout the Holiday Season.

Social Studies and Science Fairs -  Packets were given out.  Social Studies Fair is January 19.  Science Fair is February 16.

Veteran’s Day Program- Friday, November 11.  SES will honor our veterans at a special Mass.  Veterans and their families will process before Mass begins to their reserved seats in the front of church.  We would like to have veterans and their families serve as servers, lectors, choir and bring up gifts.  At the end of Mass, Fr. Andrew will give a special blessing to veterans.  We will all sing, “God Bless America” to conclude.  We would like to have veterans meet in the SES gym no later than 7:15am, Friday, November 11 to meet their families and form a procession to church.  If you know anyone who is a veteran and can serve as a lector, please call the office as  soon as possible.

Beta Cake Sale- The Beta Club will sponsor a bake sale at weekend masses at St. Elizabeth and St. Jules on the weekend of November 12 & 13 to raise funds for the purchase of bedding materials and plants to complete the flower garden in front of the office building.  This flower garden will be dedicated in memory of Andrew A.J. Frey.  If anyone is interested in helping out in any way, contact the school office.
