Please continue to pray for Andrew AJ Frey who was in a terrible accident today and his family in their time of loss. Services will be on Monday beginning at 8 a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville. Parents who want to bring their children are urged to take them in uniform to the Funeral mass at 12 noon on Monday at St. Elizabeth Church. The Diocese of Baton Rouge will be available to provide grief counseling on Sunday afternoon if requested. Please email me at psimoneaux@sescubs.com with the number and ages of people interested by 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon so that appropriate plans can be made. Please pray for our special little angel, Andrew.

Pajama Day- Students may wear pajamas on Wednesday, May 25. Tops must have sleeves, shorts must reach knees and no gowns may be worn. Slippers and flip flops will be allowed.
May 23-26 Schedule- Parents must provide transportation Monday, May 23 – Thursday, May 26. Dismissal will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, May 23-Thursday, May 26.
Past due Balances- All balances must to be paid in full in order to receive a report card. This includes all lunch and aftercare balances. All textbooks and library books need to be turned in or paid for before report cards will be mailed.
Cafeteria- Tuesday’s breakfast will be frittata and pears; Wednesday’s breakfast will be cinnamon roll and peaches. There will be no lunch served on these days.
Summer Scrip Schedule- Summer scrip orders will be placed on the following weeks: June 13, July 11 and August 1. The orders must be in the office by 9:00am and can be picked up in the office on the Thursday of the same week by noon.
Cub Camp- If you have not turned in your registration, please send it to the office. More information will be included with report cards for registered students.
PreK3 Last Day- May 24- Closing Program 9:30am in the classroom. Parents are invited to attend.
Awards Day- May 26. Award presentation for grades 4th -7th will begin at 8:00am. Award presentation for grades 1st-3rd will begin immediately afterwards.
Building and Maintenance Fees- Each family registered for the 2011-2012 school year must pay the $200.00 building and maintenance fee by June 1, 2011.
Uniform Swap Shop- Saturday, June 25 and Saturday, July 23. If you have any old uniforms that you want to donate to the swap shop you may send them to school from now until the end of the school year.
Summer Camps- AHS Baseball camp will be held June 27 -June 30. Students from 3rd -9th Grade may attend. Lady Mustang Basketball Camp will be held July 11-July 14. Boys and girls ages 5 and up are eligible to attend. Please contact the office for registration information.
The last day for bus transportation will be Friday, May 20.
St. Elizabeth School will remain in session as planned through May 26.
Parents will be asked to provide transportation.
Understanding that parents schedule vacation in advance, changes will not be made to scheduled events.

***Breakfast and lunch will be served on Monday. Only breakfast will be served on Tuesday and Wednesday.
SES Fair-Thanks a Million to all who supported the fair in any way! The day was amazing…great weather, great food, and most importantly a great day for the whole extended SES Family!!! Special thanks to Fair Chairpersons, Troy and Yvette Boudreaux, and all other chairpersons and workers who made this fair such a wonderful day for the whole community to enjoy.

Congratulations Ms. Diane!- With deepest appreciation for her many years of dedicated and selfless service to St. Elizabeth School, the SES Family congratulates our Teacher of the Year, Ms. Diane, on her retirement from her teaching position at SES. Even though she will be spending more time with her family, she will continue to direct our Friday mass choir, remain as Drama club sponsor, and participate in other volunteer activities. We wish her health and happiness in her well-deserved retirement and thank her for all she has done to promote Catholic education, but especially the mission and traditions of her beloved St. Elizabeth School. We love you, Ms. Diane!
Thank You Sister Rosmy! – Sister Rosmy will be returning to India this summer. We thank for everything that she has done for SES during her time here. She will be missed by all.
Farewell Ms. Celeste! - With the closing of this school year, Ms. Celeste has decided to move to Houma to be near her children and grandchildren. We wish her well and hope that she enjoys her special time with her family the way SES has enjoyed having her here!
School Board Meeting- Monday, May 16 at 6:30 in the office.
Cheerleaders – Invoices for uniform orders were sent home today. Please review the list, sign the bottom, and return it to school tomorrow. Please send a deposit tomorrow as well. The remaining balance is due upon receipt of ordered items. If you have any questions, please contact Stacie Rowland.
Parent Meeting
A parent meeting for all cheerleaders is scheduled for Wednesday, May 18th at 6:00pm. One parent is expected to attend. The meeting should last about 45 minutes.
Cheer Practice
Cheerleader practice is scheduled for this Thursday, May 19th from 2-3:30.
Cheerleader Try-outs
We will have cheerleader tryouts (performance day) on Friday, May 20th from 2:00-4:00pm.
SES Athletics-Volleyball players- Please turn in volleyball jerseys in a zip lock bag with your name and number written on the outside by Tuesday, May 17. Boy’s & Girl’s Basketball Players- Anyone who has not turned in uniforms please turn them in by Tuesday, May 17 so that inventory can be taken.
SES Student Council Elections- The SES Student Council will hold election of Officers for the 2011-2012 school year on Thursday, May 19, 2011. Students in the 6th and 7th grades will be able to run for the offices of Secretary, Treasurer, and Parliamentarian. President and Vice-President are reserved for the 7th grade students. Campaigning may begin on Tuesday, May 17,2011. Flyers, posters and pins will only be allowed.
SES Community Birthday Calendars- Oops!! Did you forget?! It’s not too late! If you haven’t turned in your claendar order, and are still interested, please turn it in to the office by Friday, May 20.
