SES Fair – Thanks to God and the hard work of our fair committee, parents, SES staff, and all of our supporters, we had another successful fair.  God makes our school a family, together we can do great things!

Terra Nova Testing - The Terra Nova Achievemnt Test will be given on Tuesday through Thursday, April 20-22.  Student scores on the test are more important than ever because the scores are needed for the accreditation process.  Please encourage your children to do their best.  Make sure that they get enough rest, have a good breakfast, and have them at school each day on time.  We will not be attending mass on Tuesday.  Test distribution will begin at 7:45 each day.  Also, we will be on spring break the following week, so make-ups must completed by Friday, April 23. Thank you for your continued cooperation.

Early Dismissal – Wednesday, April 21 at 11am.  Bus transportation will be provided, but there will be no after-care.  Because of testing, lunch will not be served.

7th and 8th grade volleyball pictures - will be tomorrow afternoon after school.  Girls should be picked up by 3:00 p.m.

Spring Break – There will be no school April 26-30.

H&S Meeting – Thanks to everyone who attended.  The meeting was very productive.  Goals were set for next year and officers were elected.  The new officers are:  President-Scottie Brister, Vice-President – Tiffany Cernuska, Secretary – Jill Barbier, and Treasurer – Jill Prejean.  Special thanks to our outgoing officers Vicky LeBlanc, Karen Richard,  Jill Prejean & Jill Barbier. You have all served our school well!

May Crowning – Tuesday, May4 at 7:30 am.  Procession from school to St. Elizabeth Church.

Limo Ride to Bayouside Golf Course – Tuesday, May4 for raffle ticket sales and invitation drawing winners.  Invitation drawing winners are:  Logan Falsetta, Bryce Landry & Sadie Jacobs.  The raffle ticket sales winners are: Gabbie Boudreaux, Emma Prejean (Pre-K) and Simone, Danielle & Andre’ Giroir. SES School Board Meeting -Monday, May 10 at 6:30 pm in the Science Lab.  Everyone is invited to attend.

AR Points – To qualify for the AR Books, Burgers, and Bingo, students must have AR points by Wednesday, May 12.  Time must be given for permission slips and final arrangements.

AR Deadline – The last day to test for AR is Firday, May 14.  Points received on May 13 and 14 do not count for the trip. 

Early Dismissal – Wednesday, May 12th  students will be dismissed at 11 am

SES Fair – Sunday, April 18!!!

Fair Invitations – Pink fair invitations were sent home with each child last week.  Have the children write their names on the invitations and give them to friends or relatives.  There will be a box at the alumni booth for the invited guests to deposit the invitations.  There will be a drawing during the auction of three invitations.  Those students whose names are pulled will win a limo ride to Bayouside Golf Course for a burger lunch on May 4.

Pie Makers – Anyone who has not signed up to help make pies for the fair and is interested in helping out should be at the St. Elizabeth cafeteria for 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 17th.

Live Auction Items – The auction committe is looking for donations of “real live baby animals”.  If you would like to donate a furry friend (puppy, kitten, bunny, lamb, etc.) to our auction, please contact the office.

SES Fair Raffle Tickets - If you have not already done so, send in raffle ticket stubs and money as soon as possible.

S.E.S. Cubs Fair Walk & Run – The annual S.E.S. Cubs Fair Walk & Run will be Sunday, April 18th.  Time – 1 mile – 8:00 a.m. and 5k – 8:20 a.m.  Starting place is St. Elizabeth Church.  You can send in registration by mail to St. Elizabeth School, P.O. The class with the highest percent of participation in the fun run will receive a treat at lunch during the week after the fair.  The last day for sponsor names to be sent in so they can be printed on shirts is Wednesday, April 14th.  Students who participate in the Fun Run at the fair will be able to wear their T-shirts on a dress down day that will be determined after the holidays.

SES Fair Country Store News-We are still accepting donations.    If you have anything you would like to donate, please either drop at school or contact Allison Viator @ 985-637-4068 or Erin Watson @ 985-772-1745.  Thanks for your support and we look forward to seeing you at the SES Country Store.

Field Day – Friday, April 9 – Thanks to Coach, Ms. Tiffney, Ms. Brandy,  Ms. Tina, and everyone else who helped, we all had a great time!

Beta Club-  Beta Club cookie dough sale has been extended to April 13th.  A very special thank you to the families without Beta members who also participated in the sale. 

SES Beautification - We got off to a great start with our school beautification on Saturday.   Thanks to Tiffney and Brian Ponville who donated the soil and mulch. Special thanks to Jill and Nick Prejean, Robin and Scotty Gaudet, Scottie and Shane Brister, Sid and Patricia Pujol, Tiffney and Brian Ponville, Vicky LeBlanc, and John Simoneaux who donated their time and plants to the project, and Ms. Diane LeBlanc who donated plants.  We have several other projects in mind, including pressure washing, painting, a new garden in front of the office dedicated to St. Elizabeth, and a dining room makeover.  Please consider getting involved. Saturday was a lot of work, but we all had fun.  Contact the office if you would like to help out with any of these projects, or if you have any other ideas.  God makes our school a family, together we can get great things done!!!

PreK Parent Breakfast – Wednesday, April 14 beginning at 7 am

H&S Meeting – Thursday, April 15 at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria – Please make plans to attend this very important meeting.  We will have election of officers and goal setting for the group. 

Terra Nova Testing – The InView portion of the test will be given this Wednesday, April 14.  The remainder of the Terra Nova will be given on Tuesday through Thursday, April 20-22.  Student scores on the test are more important than ever because the score are needed for the accreditation process.  Please encourage your children to do their best, have them at school each day on time because test distribution will begin at 7:45 each day.  Also, we will be on spring break the following week, so it will be very difficult to have make-ups completed before the test pick-up date. Drama – If you are interested in purchasing a DVD ($30) or VHS ($25) of the Drama Spring production of “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz”, please send money in a sealed envelope. Write child’s name and grade on outside of the envelope.  Deadline to purchase a DVD or VHS will be Friday, April 9th.

No Detention Dress Down – Students who have not received any detentions during the month of March will be allowed to dress down on Wednesday, April 7.  Students are to wear a spirit shirt with jeans or school shorts and school shoes.  Spirit shirts include anything sold by SES.  This does not include Saints or LSU attire.
 

Scrip – Resumes next week.

Spring Sports Pictures – Wednesday, April 7.  Students must have proper uniforms to take pictures.  They will not be allowed to call home.

Assumption Parish Physical Fitness Meet – Thursday, April 8 at AHS. Participants  should meet at the front gym for 7:30 a.m.

Field Day – Friday, April 9 – Dress for field day:  field day t-shirt or any spirit shirt – any color P.E. style shorts – any type of tennis shoes with socks, baseball caps or visors.  Students will change after mass. Younger students may wear field day attire under unfiorms.  Concessions will be sold – water $1, snacks 50 cents.

Beta Club-  Beta Club cookie dough sale ends April 9th.  If anyone is interested in supporting the Beta Club, order forms are being sent home with the oldest child today. 

SES Beautification – The school grounds will be open this Saturday for anyone wishing to help spruce up our flower beds.  Please bring plants that you would like to share, your own gardening tools, and a friend or two!  Hope to see you!!!

Books, Burgers, and Bingo – Students receiving the required number of AR points for the 2nd and 3rd 9 weeks periods by May 12 will be eligible to go on a field trip to the Assumption Parish Library for “Books”, Bayouside Golf Course for “Burgers”, and back to school for “Bingo” on May 17.  AR testing will continue through May 14, but in order to be eligible for the trip, points must be received by May 12.  We must have time to determine eligibility and get permission slips in order.
