Voter Voice – Parents, please register for Voter Voice at www.louisianacec.org. There are MANY critical votes that will be taking place during the next legislative session regarding Catholic education about which you will want to be informed.

S.E.S. Cubs Fair Walk & Run – The annual S.E.S. Cubs Fair Walk & Run will be Sunday, April 18th. Time – 1 mile – 8:00 a.m. and 5k – 8:20 a.m. Starting place is St. Elizabeth Church. You can send in registration by mail to St. Elizabeth School, P.O. Drawer M, Paincourtville, LA. 70391 or drop off at the school. SES Fair Country Store News-We are looking for handmade crafts to sell at the SES Country Store this year. We would like to add potted plants (flower or vegetable) to our store for sale this year. If you have anything you would like to donate, please either drop at school or contact Allison Viator @ 985-637-4068 or Erin Watson @ 985-772-1745. Thanks for your support and we look forward to seeing you at the SES Country Store.

Fair Work Assignment Sign-up -Please come by school during the week of March 22-26 to sign-up for the fair during office hours from 7 am-3 pm or on the evening of March 25th in the library during Book Fair Family Night. Assignments will be made for those parents who do not sign-up during the week of March 22.

Fair Raffle Tickets -Each family is responsible to sell the 30 tickets issued. Deadline to return money is April 9th. Again, this year there will be a drawing for a “special prize” for all families selling additional raffle tickets.

March 31 Early Dismissal -Assumption Parish has postponed this month’s early dismissal from March 24 to March 31. Please make note of the change. Buses will be running as usual on March 24 and at 11 am on March 31. There will be no aftercare on March 31.

Spelling Bee -Thursday, April 1 beginning after the Living Way of the Cross – approximately 9am.

Accelerated Reader – The last day to test will be May 14th. The incentive for those students reaching or exceeding their point goal for the second semester will be a Books, Burgers and Bingo Day – more details to come.

H&S Meeting - The H&S meeting scheduled for March 25 has been postponed to April 15 at 6:30 in the cafeteria.

Drama Production of “The Wizard of OZ” - Final preparations are being made for our spring production of “The Wizard of Oz” on Saturday March 27, 2010 at 7 p.m. in the S.E.S. gym. Please be advised of the following:

__ Practices for the Cast include Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

__ Practices for the kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders will be on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon from 2:15 until they have completed their part in the play. That will be at approximately 2:45 for Munchkins and 3:15 for dishes and flowers. Again, please send a permission stating whether they will be picked up or should go to aftercare.

__ Cast members and K,1,2,3 children are to be at school by 5:30 p.m. for pictures for the yearbook on Saturday.

__ Shrimp stew will be sold beginning at 6 p.m. for $3.00 per bowl.

__ Admission will be $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for children (not in the play.)

Lenten Folders-Friday is the last day for students to turn in their Lenten folders.

Class and Club Pictures – March 30 – Students must have proper uniforms to take pictures. They will not be allowed to call home.

Living Way of the Cross - 8 am in church presented by the 8th grade. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend. Spelling Bee will follow in the Science Lab.

Parents provide transportation -On Holy Thursday, April 1, there will be no bus transportation. Parents are responsible for getting students to and from school. There will be aftercare as usual.

Easter Holidays – There will be no school on Friday, April 2 and Monday April 5 in observance of Easter. Classes resume on Tuesday, April 6.

6th Grade & 8th Grade:

Thursday – Mar. 25th – Home – SES Vs. MBS – 6:45 & 7:45 p.m.

Baseball – March 1st rain-out make-up date for 5th & 6th graders will be March 30th at 7 p.m. on Field 2.
