Weekly Notes - Just a reminder! Starting this week we will not be sending printed copies of the Weekly Notes home with the exception of those parents requesting that we still send them out to them. 

Scrip News - Reminder tomorrow, March 31st will be the last day to order Scrip before the Easter holidays.  Scrip orders will resume on April 21st.  Please plan ahead.  Scrip Order Form

Terra Nova Testing - Grades Kn – 8 will take the Terra Nova Achievement Test from Tuesday through Friday (March 31-April 3).  Please try to have students present on the above dates.  This year we again providing an incentive for students with the highest NCE score at each grade level and a $50 savings bond will be given to the student that improves the most from last year’s test at each grade level.  Ways to improve test scores:  1) Get a good night’s sleep the day before the test. 2) Eat a good breakfast the day of testing.  3)Listen carefully to all directions so that you know what they are asking you to do. 4)Read all answer choices before making your choice. 5) Read the story or problem a second time if you don’t understand the first time. 6) Mark only one answer. 7) This is a timed test so don’t waste time on a particular item.  Come back to it later. (Grades 4-8 record answers on an answer sheet.  Students must remember to mark the answer to the corresponding number on the answer sheet.)  Students’ scores are based on the number of correct answers. Eliminate choices you know are wrong.  If you still are not sure, make a good educated guess.  9) Review work if time allows.  10) Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you as you are testing. Our students will not be attending mass this Tuesday because of testing.   If it is warm enough tomorrow students may wear their shorts since they are not going to mass.

LEAP Testing - will be April 1st-April 7th for our 8th grade. Letter was sent home last week reference to testing. Parents must provide transportation.  Students are to eat lunch in the cafeteria.

Jubilee Year of St. Paul-Letter to Timothy-As part of celebrating the Jubilee Year of Timothy, we request all of our parents to spend a few minutes everyday in reading the letters of St. Paul to Timothy in the 3rd & 4th week of March.  Letter to Timothy comes right after the letter to the Thessalonians.

Accelerated Reading Field Trip – has been set for April 23rd.  1st graders will go on a special trip to the Assumption Parish Library on Wednesday, April 22nd.

Field Day T-Shirt - Last chance to order your Field Day T-shirt.  If you have not ordered and would like to do so complete the attached form and return to school with your $10.00 by Wednesday, April 1st. Field Day T- Shirt Order Form

Friday’s Mass – First Friday this week.  Sodality members are to wear their uniforms and there will also be Benediction. 8th graders are excused due to LEAP testing.

Spelling & Math Bees – Preliminary test for Spelling and math bees will be given on Tuesday, April 7th.  All students qualifying for the Bees will be given a free dress down day.

7th Grade parent Breakfast – Wednesday, April 8th, 7:10 a.m.

Living Way of the Cross – Thursday, April 9th.

Easter Holidays – April 10-19.  Students return on Monday, April 20th.

SES Today – A copy of the SES Today is being sent home today with the oldest child.

Fair Raffle Tickets – Two (2) fair raffle ticket books were sent home today with the oldest child.  For every additional 15 tickets sold the child or family children’s names will be placed in a drawing to win a Limo ride to the Bayouside Golf Course for lunch.
