Beta Day- Saturday, January 21. Packets were sent home today, please check with your child.
Drama Practice- Friday, January 20 until 4:00.
Aftercare- Please contact the office if you need a statement of aftercare totals paid for 2011 for income taxes.
Math Bee- Congratulations to all students who participated in the Math Bee. Everyone did a wonderful job. The following students placed in the Math Bee: 1st Grade-1st Place-Maddex Blanchard, 2nd Place-Lani Alleman; 2nd Grade- 1st Place- Sage Rivere, 2nd Place-Peyton Barbera; 3rd Grade- 1st Place-Sarah Ryland, 2nd Place- Anna Thibodeaux; 4th Grade- 1st Place-Hannah Landry, 2nd Place-Abbey Aysen.
Super Bowl Pools- Please be sure to send back the board on time to give all families equal time to sell squares. Please contact the school if you are interested in purchasing a square. We have $10.00 and $100.00 squares available.
SIT Committee Meeting –Postponed to the January 17 school board meeting.
School Board Meeting – January 17 at 6:45 in the office. Everyone is invited to attend.
Spirit Dress Down- Wednesday, January 18. Students may wear a school spirit shirt or uniform shirt and jeans or uniform shorts and uniform socks and shoes. Jeans must be worn at the waist and may not have holes. Please see the SES student handbook for complete dress down day guidelines.
1st Grade Parent Breakfast- Wednesday, January 18 at 7am. Parents are invited to join us for morning prayer in the Prayer Garden after Breakfast.
AR Field Trip Permissions Due – Permission slips for those children who qualify for the January 24 AR field trip to Barnes and Noble and Chuck E. Cheese are due Wednesday, January 18.
Social Studies Fair- January 19.
SES Athletics-Boy’s Basketball: There are a few 5th and 6th graders that still have not paid for their jerseys. Please send $25 to the office asap.
Parents – please check the work schedule that was sent home prior to the holidays. If you are scheduled to work the concession stand or the door, please get to the community center no later than half an hour prior to the first game, and help clean up after the last game. If you do not have a schedule, please contact the office.
5th grade practice on Tuesday in the new gym from 6:30 – 7:30.
7th grade practice on Wednesday from 6:30 – 7:30
6th and 8th grade will not practice this week.
Boys Basketball Games- February 19 at St. George 6th-6:00; 7th-6:45; 8th-7:45. February 20 Home vs. St. Theresa 6th-6:00; 7th-6:45; 8th-7:45
Volleyball: We will have sign ups on Friday during recess. Forms will be sent home on Friday or early next week, please check with girls.
Conditioning for volleyball will begin next week:
Monday, 1/23 – from 4 to 5 in the old gym
Tuesday, 1/24 – from 2:15 to 3:45.
One or two practices will be scheduled and posted to Monday Notes next week.
DARE Graduation – Friday, January 20 at 12:30 in the Community Center. Everyone is invited to attend.
AR Field Trip – January 24. Transportation provided. Students need $6 for lunch and spending money.
Spelling Bee - January 25. Grades 1-4 will participate in the Spelling Bee. SES Recruitment Party – Saturday, January 28. Please forward names of prospective families so that they can be invited to attend.
Catholic Schools Week- January 29-February 3. Students are asked to bring hygiene items to schools to be presented at the Catholic Schools Week Mass on Friday, February 3. St. Elizabeth School is asked to bring toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, soap, deodorant, shaving cream, first aid supplies. Please bring these items to school by Friday, January 27.
Diocesan Quiz Bowl- February 4 at St. Aloyisus 8:00 am-1:00 pm.
Science Fair- has been changed to February 6 due to the Nicholls State Science Fair deadline.
SES In-House Registration – February 6-10.

Children’s Lip Sync – Date is still pending.
New Family Registration – February 13-17.
Confetti Eggs- Please save your eggs for confetti eggs for the fair. You may begin sending the eggs to school.
