Welcome back! We hope that you have had a good summer and that everyone is ready to get back to work! This will be a great year!
“God Makes our School a Family” sheet -As a school family, we will stress using good manners throughout the year and we ask families to also reinforce these behaviors of the month at home.
Handbook – Please read with your children, sign, and return to school. Remember to insert revisions and keep. You will only be given revisions each year. The handbook is also available online.student-handbook Click on this link and it will take you to a page where you will see student handbook (underlined). Thank you - Thanks to Mr. Dwayne Sanchez and Mr. Jude Fernandez who transported gym lockers donated by St. Michael the Archangel High School in Baton Rouge. We are very grateful to St. Michael’s who also donated a storage building to S.E.S. Please keep them in your prayers.
Open House – Monday, August 24th at 6:00 p.m. please make plans to attend.
Handy Men & Women Needed – There are quite a few items on the S.E.S. “honey-do” list. Please contact the office or Dwayne Sanchez, School Board maintenance committee chairperson, if you can help with painting, electrical, school beautification, etc. Together we can do great things!
Scrip News -Scrip is an excellent way for our families to earn money towards their tuition and in turn help our school. Families purchase gift cards from school for their normal everyday purchases and in turn the merchants sell the school the gift cards at a discounted price. The discount is then placed in a special account – half of the discount is credited to the school and half is credited to the parents’ tuition account for the following school year.
Scrip agreement forms are being sent home to each family today. If you would like to participate in the program, please sign and return the form to the office. Once we receive your signed agreement form in the office, an order form will be sent home with your child. Scrip orders must be in the office on Tuesdays before 9:00 a.m. and will be distributed on Fridays.
Congratulations to our families for earning $3,650.00 towards their tuition for the 2009-10 school year and for earning the same amount for our school. We had approximately 35 regular participating families in our Scrip program last year.
